Service questions, answered
Booking a service, picking a service that work for you, or wondering how long your bike will be off the trail? Start here. If your question isn't covered below, give us a call or drop by the shop.
Booking & Turnaround
Use the Request an appointment form on our Service Centre page, call us at 604-390-0073, or drop by the shop at 39666 Government Rd #102.
Tell us what's going on with your bike and we'll recommend the right service.
From April to September, book 1–2 weeks ahead if you can. In the off-season we can often take bikes in within a few days.
Booking early before a race or a big trip is always a good idea.
Most Bike Checks and Ride Services are ready in 1–3 days once your bike is on the stand.
Bigger jobs, like a Complete Overhaul or anything waiting on parts, take longer. We'll give you a time estimate when you drop off.
Yes. Priority labour moves your bike to the front of the queue but labour is charged at a additional 50% with a $100 minimum charge.
Almost always! We inspect the bike, tell you what we recommend, and only do the work you approve. If the bike needs something small that is required to complete the service we may add this but we aim for No surprise charges.

Not sure? Describe the problem in our service form or bring the bike in, and we'll recommend one. You can also see what's included in each package.
Our shop rate is $100 per hour plus parts.
You get 25% off additional labour when you book a Total Ride Service or Complete Overhaul.
Yes, we'll install parts you bring in at our regular labour rate.
* A diagnostics fee may be charged if the parts are incorrect *
We can also order almost anything in for you.
Suspension
We service Fox and RockShox forks and rear shocks in-house, as well as pretty much any brand of dropper post including Oneup, Bikeyoke, RockShox Reverb and Fox Transfer.
If you have another suspension brand we may be able to service this also but best to shoot us a message first.
- Forks and air shocks: a basic service every 50 hours of riding keeps them working well between complete services which range from 125 hours to 200 hours.
- Dropper posts: every 50–100 hours, depending on the model.
Common signs include:
- Losing small-bump feel
- Squishing or knocking noises
- Oil on the seals or stanchions
- Sticky movement
- Losing air pressure
If you notice any of these, book a service before it turns into a bigger repair.
E-bikes & Other Bikes
Yes, we service E-Bikes, including brakes, drivetrains and suspension.
We can diagnose and update most e-bike motor systems on the market.
Motor and battery issues go through the brand's warranty process, which we can help with.
Yes. Our packages work for road, gravel, mountain bikes and anything in-between.
Yes. We handle warranty claims for the brands we sell, including Ibis, Cannondale and Kona.
Bought your bike or parts somewhere else? We can still help, though a processing fee may apply. Warranty claims are available to customers in Canada.
Bike Fit
A bike fit is the process of adjusting a bicycle to match your unique anatomy, flexibility, and riding style.
What Happens During a Bike Fit
- Off-bike assessment: The fitter checks your joint mobility, core strength, flexibility, foot structure, and injury history.
- On-bike analysis: You ride on a stationary trainer while the fitter uses video, motion capture, or direct observation to study your pedaling dynamics.
- Key adjustments: The fitter modifies your contact points—including saddle height, saddle fore-and-aft position, saddle tilt, handlebar reach/height, and cleat alignment.
- Component swaps: If necessary, they recommend changing parts like a different stem length, crank length, saddle width, or shoe insoles.
Why It Matters
- Comfort: Eliminates numb hands, neck pain, lower back aches, and saddle discomfort.
- Injury prevention: Reduces harmful strain on your knees, hips, and tendons.
- Efficiency and power: Improves your pedaling mechanics and energy transfer, sometimes increasing functional threshold power (FTP)
Our fits are run by a physiotherapist from Sea to Sky Sports Physio. A fit includes:
- A physical screen
- A review of your bike and equipment
- An on-bike assessment
- Adjustments
- A clear summary of what changed and what to do next
Anyone who wants to ride more comfortably. That includes riders dealing with pain or injury, racers chasing efficiency, new bike owners, and everyday riders.
Book through Sea to Sky Sports Physio's online booking page, linked from our Bike Fit page.
A fit is a 90-minute session and costs $270. Because it's a physiotherapy service, it may be covered by your extended health plan.
