The Libre Story

Somewhere between touring stability and road performance, the Libre carves out its own space.

Somewhere between the stable but often sluggish beast of burden world of touring and the tightly focused realm of road performance, there exists a need for a drop bar bike that can grind out mile after mile of washboard gravel and still snap to attention when you stomp on the pedals.

Build it out of carbon fiber and aluminum, so it's super light, but plenty strong as well. Festoon it with bosses for water bottles and bento mounts, but don't go crazy. Lots of tire clearance, just in case. Sharp, but smooth. Fast, but comfortable.

Fast, But Practical

You need a racy gravel bike to go sweat out your demons, but also enough tire clearance to handle rough urban roads, fenders, commuting, and long mixed-surface days. The Libre is made for that balance.

Why doesn't the Libre CR come with a front derailleur?

The Libre CR comes set up 1x, but includes a removable front derailleur plate so riders can run 50/34 gearing if they prefer.

What's the largest tire size that will fit?

Without fenders, the Libre clears up to 700x50. With fenders, tire clearance is 700x45.

What's the max chainring size?

46T is the largest chainring that will fit with a 1x setup.

What is the chainline?

47.5mm road-wide 1x chainline.

What size seatpost does it take?

27.2mm. This adds comfort and compliance for long rides. Dropper posts up to 100mm travel are available in this diameter and may work depending on frame size.

What is the cable routing like?

The aluminum Libre has internal downtube cable routing that exits at the bottom bracket. Carbon models use fully guided internal routing, including rear brake line routing with a Y connector for left or right head tube routing preference.

How many water bottles can be mounted?

Two inside the front triangle and one underneath the downtube, with a bento or accessory mount available for additional carrying options.

What are the mounting points?
